
All positions are volunteer at this time. All positions are under 5 hours a week. Most are remote/work from home.
Fundraising Coordinator
This volunteer position will oversee fundraising efforts and report to the Director. The position will help build a team, and then coordinate the following:
Events *Work with boutique coordinator on items to purchase/swag for events* Find events to attend – Bark in the Park last Sat of every month*Dog wash?
Grants *Write LoIs and grant proposals and submit* Find grants to enter* Car dealers? Other large corps?
Auctions* Get donations*Find inventory *Upload items*Advertise*Run/tag*Send invoices through Boutique
Boutique *Maintain inventory *Add items as needed*Shipping
Printful*Maintain inventory *Make new ideas (transfer to website)*Update customer’s order in Boutique with tracking number and “complete”
Raffle*Find items*Set up on website*Advertise*Video of drawing*Shipping
Donations Maintain accounting, Send monthly thank you, advertise for the following:*Paypal*Stripe*Venmo*NFG*Benevity*King Soopers/Krogers*Amazon Smile*GoFundMe*Employee matching?
Each of the above bolded areas will need a volunteer as well. Time spent will about 5 hours per month. These positions will report directly to the Fundraising Coordinator. Transport Coordinator
This volunteer position will oversee transportation of dogs and report to the Director. The position will help build a team, and then coordinate the following:
May do home checks at drop off
Get info on foster from Foster Coordinator
Get info on surrender from Surrender Coordinator
Set local transport
(At this time, we are not doing transports over 500 miles from Denver except in Er/shelter situations: Long Distance: Same as above*Flights: find volunteer*find flight*Be sure volunteer has all items needed*Coordinate surrender drop-off at airport*Trains: Director to help with these*Track miles, food, and hotels for reimburse)
We always need volunteers to help with transport from surrender home to foster home to adoptive home and usually within Denver Metro area. If you are able to transport, please send an email with your contact information to transport@rmfbr.org. You will need a volunteer form on file which can be found HERE.
Surrender Coordinator
This volunteer position will oversee surrenders of dogs and report to the Director. The position will help build a team, and then coordinate the following:
Check Intake form
Get medical records
Get pictures
Discuss with director
If dog is accepted: Accept form in system
Remove personal info from medical records
Upload medical records and photo
Write bio on website – be sure to include donation short link
Foster Coordinator
This volunteer position will oversee foster homes and foster placement of dogs and report to the Director. The position will help build a team, and then coordinate the following:
Accept or deny foster home apps on ShelterLuv
If accepted – add email to MailChimp
Take bio from website: email to foster list and post on social media
Respond to email inquires
Evaluate which home for the dog
Discuss with Director
Home check (this can also be done by transport if needed)
Discuss with transport
Med tracker follow up
Invite foster to Facebook group
Dog bio for adoption if foster does not adopt
*This is a bigger volunteer position. We may need to discuss this as two positions: One as monitoring people and applications and one for the actual placement of the dog in a home. If you are interested in one part over another, please comment as such on your application.*
Adoption Coordinator
This volunteer position will oversee adoption placement of dogs and report to the Director. The position will help build a team, and then coordinate the following:
Get bio from Foster Coordinator
Write bio on website and make it snazzy – inc photos and videos
Post bio to Social Media
Send emails to list
Wait two weeks
Sift out applications that are incomplete or do not match dog needs
Present five good apps to entire team (including foster home)
Team will narrow it to three
Coordinate for foster interview
Home check all 3 homes
Discuss with full team after interviews and home checks to determine best home
Change chip in system
